Re: EA charges consumer multiple times for the same product.

hmm check bank status over paid transactions do not waste time on IT data that could be already registrated but they never somehow got the money.

ps.
if above statement is correct most company will take action on this , and in most cases its always is custommer that loose.
( yes it can happend that company do mistake, i bet you will get Money back most company do this. )

not the first time i have seen banks revoke payment for missing cash on bank account,(banks can do this without you know this ) this is you as customer that need to check this out before you end up with bad standing with a game company.

i dont work for EA , i just have seen so many odd things happend over several years. try see it as informations you need to check up on, if you not already have done this.

( dont know every bank in the world but , mine can cancel all transactions apox14dages "max 14 bankdays" apox 3-4 weeks depend on holidays. )

you should talk with EA and get a ticket and get a dialog with it a i bet send them screenshort of this where did money go so they can track it down, ( try see this is 1 among many and they need to locate what happend to it. )

  • I know where the money went.  EA received payment according to EA's own Account Order History.  They issued me a Product Code, indicating that I owned the product, but whenever I attempt to download the Sim World add-on EA says I have to buy the product again.

    I did open a support ticket with EA, and have been totally ignored.  This is beginning to look more like a scam by EA - charging customers for a product and then refusing to allow them to download the product they just purchased.  In which case I may have to get my State Attorney General involved since this would involve a criminal act.  I suppose I am looking for others who have been scammed by EA this way.

    dont look at EA Account Order History, check own bank transfer status, as long you have that then you know what has been paid for and not. so you dont end up with ( demo of sim's4 because you and EA has issue with what content you bought and its content, i cant help you with that not into what sim's4 world and its Dlc'S but its clear to us all something is wrong.

    ohhh by the way you sure this is not same as my sim medieval issue. a dlc i have to activated DLC on EXTRA so it apply its content to main game, ( this was normal a full install in old days, but with so many dlc's auto install check up, to whats shall we call it user selected content applyed Dlc's content option,

    so you might alreayd have content it just not applyed yet or anymore. i almost forgot that issue.

    click on the game so it show that, then extra content , check if it DLC is present

     ( if this is the case , then you can see how little tiny vital things has change awhile ago and we all almost have forgot about it. )

  • My bank debited my account for the amount of the Sim World.  This was purchased several months ago, in August 2018, and now I have a new PC that I am trying to download and setup.  All the Sim Expansion Packs that I had previously purchased allowed me to download and reinstall through Origin, but not the Sim World I had previously purchased.

    I don't own the Medieval DLC, so I can't comment.

    I should be able to download the Sim World and then plug in the Product Code that EA issued me when I originally purchased the product, but Origin requires me to purchase the Sim World again.  Origin will not allow me to download the Sim World without buying it again.  All the Expansion Packs provided a download option, but not the Sim Worlds.

    i dont think i can help you anymore, we are talking about same account and 1 user only as same content , can you still login to old pc with current content ? if so then use copy and paste it into other pc.

    this is same as move install lib to other harddisk.

    and this is to test if this is issue with Client
    and sense this is right owner its 100% Legit
    please do double check user login and Origin settings where to put data.
    logout on old pc turn off old pc. use new pc with right login and see if this works.

    ps.

    did this myself to new game harddisk ( other drive )

    then it start and show a DL repair of current new disk, but it went much faster and only verify content

  • The other older PC is not available any longer, unfortunately.  I've been forced to reinstall everything from scratch.  Everything was going great, until I ran across EA.  I should have known better, considering we are talking about EA.  It isn't as if they have a reputation for being ethical.

    I've been able to download all my formerly owned applications and games from other vendors without any issues.  They all acknowledged that I had previously purchased their product and allowed me to download and resinstall them.  EA is the only company trying to rip me off.

    I do appreciate the time you have taken to try and help me with this issue.  You have certainly put more effort in trying to help me resolve this issue that EA ever has, and I do appreciate it.  Thank you.

    EA has chosen to ignore me completely.

    I didn't really expect a solution to my problem on this forum, since the only solution to my problem has to come from EA.  The real purpose of this thread was to find others being ripped-off by EA.  I can't be the only one they are doing this too.

    However, I do appreciate you taking the time to respond with relevant information.  Thank you.
