What is your operating system?
I run Windows 7.
When did it start happening? Installation of an EP? Patch? Windows Update?
It started happening right after I purchased the game--didn't play it once.
Do you use the download version, the dvd or a mix of both. If it's download, is it Steam or Origin?
I downloaded from Origin (via Humble Bundle).
Do you have any other programs open while you try launching the game? If so, please state which ones.
The error appens regardless of other open programs, if any. I've only ever had Chrome open.
What's your anti-virus program?
I use Rogers Online Protection.
What's your firewall (if you don't use any, it's most probably the Windows built in one)?
It's the same as my anti-virus.
Do you have any kind of DVD/CD Emulator installed, like Roxio, Nero, Alcohol or anything along these lines.
Nope.
