Not sure what's up with that but try to redeem your code in the store and download from your purchase history instead.

for hidden springs is one of the tricky ones...log into your the sims 3 account go to my store - purchase history  if hidden springs is there then download it  sometimes the way it works is you get the simpoints to buy the world or the world just goes to your purchase history to download (and no simpoints as they are for buying the world ) so if your points increased by at least 2000 points then they are to get the world with and cannot be used for anything else
