Re: How can I move downloaded sims 3 pack files from my launcher onto another PC?

@novacanova  When Sims3Packs are installed through the launcher, the items are bundled into .dbc files (custom content) and .ebc files (store content) that land in DCCache.  The .dbc files can be transferred from one computer to another, although store content is encrypted and may need to be reinstalled.  Additionally, if you have custom worlds, lots, households, or sims installed, you'll want to transfer the corresponding files in InstalledWorlds, Library, and SavedSims as well.

The files in InstalledWorlds and SavedSims are labeled properly, but those in Library are not.  So if you don't want to transfer everything, or you need to remove some store venues that also have files in Library, you can load a save on the old computer and delete everything in the in-game bin you don't want to keep.  Make a backup copy of the Library folder beforehand in case you change your mind.

When you've installed the game on the new computer, the best practice is to load the game once to make sure it works, then copy the files themselves into the corresponding folders, rather than copying the folders.  Add one set of files at a time, just in case you run into a problem—it's a lot easier to troubleshoot a smaller number of files.
