Re: I can't upload to the exchange

@jaimeroo11  Among the possible issues is that you've hit your limit of uploaded content, which is something like 2 GB total.

If that's not the problem, try uploading something in a clean user folder.  Move your entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, open the launcher to create a new folder, then copy one file from Exports in the old Sims 3 folder to Exports inside the new folder.  You should be able to at least try to upload the item; let me know whether it works.

Thank you for your reply. As it is right now, it does let me try to upload the houses or sims I create. It even tells me that it uploaded. (It gives me the green upload arrow when it's done.) But then when I go to my studio, my page or the exhange, the stuff I just uploaded isn't there. It will upload media images and memories and I can see those. It just won't upload my creations.

@jaimeroo11  Is that also true in a clean user folder?  If you clear your browser cache or use a private window, can you see any new uploads?

Yes, so I tried the clean user folder, clearing everything and using a private window. The exchange still doesn't show my uploads after it says they have uploaded. I'm really confused. I'm not sure what else to try.

@jaimeroo11  How much have you already uploaded in terms of data?  Again, if it's over the limit, new uploads may not show up, although it's possible you won't get an error message telling you why.

I've uploaded over 300 sims or lots. But I deleted several older ones yesterday to see if that would solve the problem. It didn't solve it. I deleted probably 30 different uploads. So I don't think it's that. I'm wondering if I'll have to uninstall and reinstall the whole game. It seems like something is broken.

@jaimeroo11  Before you go to that extreme, try uploading a newly created sim with no custom content.  Some cc items prevent uploads from working, although I've mostly heard of Build/Buy items being the cause, not CAS items.  Best would be to create a sim in a clean folder and try to upload.

If that doesn't work, clear the cache for Internet Explorer and try again.  Even if you never use it, the launcher does for some purposes.  Be sure to uncheck the box to preserve data for favorite sites.
