OH, guess I got it the other way round. Dah me.
Well then do the following:
- Make a copy of your savegame (aka save it under a new name).
- Close your game (completely not just main menu)
- Restart the game and start the copy
- Evict your family and save the house to the bin
- Close the game (completely not just main menu)
- Restart the game and start your original
- Continue playing.
