Re: Intel HD 530
@StinkyKo That processor and graphics chip combination should run the base game on low or medium settings. Stuff packs and early expansion packs are probably also fine. But the most demanding packs (Pets, Seasons, then Isla Paradiso and Into the Future) would probably be more than your laptop could handle. Even the packs in the middle might be too much, depending on the settings you want to use, your playstyle, and other factors, including an element of randomness.
The reason your graphics settings were all on low by default is that your graphics card isn't in the Sims 3's database. I can help you add it, if you want. Go into Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3, open the file called deviceconfig.log, copy the information between "Graphics device info" (about 25 lines down) and "Options" (about 40 lines down), and paste it here. Or, if you prefer, you can just tweak the graphics settings yourself—it's not really a problem if your card isn't recognized.
