If you still have issues after following those instructions, you should contact EA's customer support. https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/ask

Type in 'The Sims 3' and hit 'Find Solutions'. Product - The Sims 3 > Category - Download / Installation Issues > Platform. Click on 'Find Solutions' and then click on 'I still need help'. You'll be given ways to contact them according to the country you're at. Don't chose Answer HQ, it will lead you back here, most of us here are just users like you, we don't work for EA and won't be able to give you another code.

Also, there is a new patch available, be sure to update your game before playing it. Open the Launcher and go to the Game Updates tab, click on refresh, a message will appear saying that there is a new update available, select update now. If the message doeIf you have problems updating via Launcher, use the Super Patch.
