Re: One package file not showing up in CAS

@Tinkerbell_stone  Does your other content show up?  I take it you know how to install Sims3Packs and .package-based files, but please try installing something else to make sure the issue isn't, say, a corrupt or missing resource.cfg (for .package files) or a corrupt .dbc file in DCCache (that's not accepting new data from Sims3Packs).

It's also possible you're adding the item to the "wrong" folder, as in, the game is reading one Sims 3 folder and the file is going in a second one.  The easiest way to check is to look at the modified date on the deviceconfig.log inside the Sims 3 folder: the timestamp should match the last time you launched the game.  If it doesn't, the game isn't currently using that folder.

And of course it's possible this item depends on other content you haven't installed.  Some cc is based on an item from an expansion or stuff pack and won't show if you don't have the pack installed.  I don't actually know how to check for that—it sounds like you're ahead of me on that front—but it's certainly a possibility.

  • My other cc shows up and I've installed new ones as well. So I think you're right about not having a sims 3 expansion pack because I only have the base game and pets. I'll contact the creator. Thanks a lot 🙂
