When you register your game on Origin, thesims3.com recognizes that the email address was used. You don't have an account there yet though so you need to create a new one.

You do this by trying to login with the same pw/email as on origin and that should trigger a small registration form. You can choose the same user name you have on Origin or choose a new one to your liking (NOT CHANGEABLE).

Fill in the rest of the info as well as the captcha and then you should be able to login. If you get a loop, try clearing your browser cache or use a different browser. 

Your game will then be automatically registered to your myPage. That can take a moment though and you might need to log out and back in and/or clear your browser cache.
