Re: Redeemed Sims 3 codes but wont download as says only available on windows?

Hi all,

I've played the sims 4 for upwards of 7 years now, and thought it was high time for me to play TS3, given it's widely regarded as better! Bought it today through a redeem code which went through the EA app perfectly fine, but the installer itself won't work? I know there's a 34-bit and a 64 bit version (and the 34 bit won't run on my computer, my OS is sonoma 14.6), but from my understanding you have to download the 34 bit base game first? But the popup seems to suggest that I can't do that (and the game isn't in my library, for whatever reason). Would really appreciate any help, thank you!!

SashaDaDragon  You do not have to install the 32-bit version of Sims 3, and you can't in your OS anyway.  What I think might be happening is that your account doesn't have the "entitlement," as it's called, for the 64-bit version of the base game (and maybe any packs you own).  So you'll need to contact EA customer support to get that added.  Use the word "entitlement" specifically when making the request.

I would strongly suggest using the live chat option rather than email.  If you don't see it, try this link:

    https://help.ea.com/en/help-contact-us/?product=the-sims-3&topic=missing-game&category=manage-my-account&subcategory=find-missing-game

Make sure you're signed into an EA site (this one is fine) before clicking the link and that the location in the lower-right corner of the browser window is set to U.S. or U.K.

Alternately, try using the help site without being signed in.  Some categories of issue allow you to proceed without an active login, and many of those offer the live chat option.
