Re: Script error in The Sims 3

Ok, @LeHippieMon, please follow these steps:

  1. Close the launcher completely
  2. Delete "The Sims 3" folder (the new one)
  3. Rename "The Sims 3 old" to "The Sims 3"
  4. Open the folder
  5. If they exist, move the files: Sims3Logs.bin, launchermanifest.pid, Sims3LauncherLogFile.log to your desktop
  6. Open the launcher again through Origin

Try to play 🙂

It just replaces those files and shows the same error.

Followed each of these steps, still getting the error.

    Hi @LeHippieMon,

Could you try to use another Windows administrator account to play the game? You would need to log into Origin with the same account you are using now.

Let us know if with another Windows account it works.

    Ok @LeHippieMon, thanks for trying.

Even if the error appears, you mentioned you can now log in. I know it pops up again, but are you able to press the 'Play' button before it pops up again? You should be able to play even if the error message is there, and this won't affect your game.

Yes, I am still able to play. I can just close the message. It would be nice to know what causes it, but otherwise it is just an inconvenience. Thanks for the help.
