Re: Sims 3 - "Important Message! There is a problem connecting to the server." HELP!

Thank you very much I fixed the World Adventures problem! However I am still getting problems from the expansion packs that need a workaround. I forgot to mention that I have Late Night as well and I understand that that needs a work around as well as Ambitions. I successfully did so for Ambitions, but it does not work for my Late Night pack. I also followed the Sims Unknown Error Mac book Sierra tutorial video, and it still shows me an error bar. I'm not sure if I should reinstall the Late Night pack and just try again.

EDIT: I ended up trying to delete the Late Night and Ambitions pack, but it is still giving me the error message. I'm not sure what to do, or if I messed anything up by doing so and I should reinstall

@AllyCake1245  The same two fixes you need for Ambitions also apply to Late Night.  So you could try reinstalling them and a newer pack, running the Super Patch, and applying the two fixes.  If that doesn't work though, it's best to do a clean uninstall and start over with the base game.

From there, you can ignore the license server issue and just deal with the unknown errors from Ambitions and LN as they come.

As a practical matter, since the second workaround requires copying two 2 GB folders to the folder for your newest pack by release date, you may want to install ITF right after Ambitions and LN, confirm the game works, and then go back and install your other packs.  Otherwise, if you keep copying those folders to each successive pack you install, the game will end up taking a lot more of your computer's storage than is necessary.

Okay thank you very much I will try this out! When you say download ITF right after, would I then transfer the 2 GB folder needed for the workaround into that game (since it said something like transfer it to the most recent download.) That could've been what I was doing wrong.

@AllyCake1245  Yes, install Ambitions and Late Night, create an alias for each of them, install ITF, then copy a folder from each of Ambitions and Late Night into the folder for ITF, as described in the video.  Then if the game works, you can go back and install whatever other packs you want.
