Re: Sims 3 and expansion one register one not
My first copy of Sims 3, I'm assuming that's what you meant by base game, was bought brand new for me from walmart November after it was first released. At the time I didn't have interenet and didn't know anything about registering it. I played it many years off and on never really thinking about registering it. I only ever let one person use the game and she is the one how gave me the Ambitions expansion. When she gave me that disc is when I tried to register them and was able to register the Ambitions game but not the Original Sims game. At the time I didn't think nothing of it. It wasn't until I couldn't play it anymore that I contacted EA or Origin I'm not sure which it actually was because I had learn you could get a digital download. They said my code was already registered and none of my information matched theirs and I contacted the person who had borrowed it and she said she didn't register it either. The person from EA or whatever couldn't tell me anything about who registered it, they pretty much said I was screwed even though it was my code. I have no idea who could have registered it. So I bought a used copy cheap on ebay in really good shape not expecting to be able to register it I just wanted to play, but when I got it downloaded I tried downloading the Ambitions game and it gave me the same error sign, I don't know why but it did. So that's why I asked if you could play a registered Expansion game on an unregistered base game.
