You need to purge RAM before and regularly during gameplay. If you have a lot of CC/Mods consider culling some as they contribute to memory issues. If you are on a lower spec Mac (MacBook Air, 13" MacBook Pro) lower your graphics settings and, if applicable, consider uninstalling Seasons, ITF, Island Paradise, Pets.
