Re: Sims 3 Island Paradise will not install

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIMELY RESPONSE!  I am using PC Vista 64 home edition, using the internet download for Island paradise.  It downloaded fine.  And no, my launcher shows 10.0.96.021017.  Since the move over to Origin I have had the message 'unable to connect to Origin'.  I addressed this issue some time ago and was told it was not important as I could download the newest super patch manually, which I did for Sims Pets.  I had 1.55 ALREADY downloaded and working fine.  But just to be sure I RE-loaded the patch - it even told me that 1.55 was already installed, but I went ahead and over wrote it with 1.55 again.  That patch installed fine.

Now when I hit the 'install' button, it seems like it starts but then gives me the message that the newest patch must be installed using my game launcher.  For the above reasons, I cannot.  I am at a loss and would really appreaciate some help.  Thank you.

the same thing happenned to me! It also happened on university life. I had to rebuy almost the whole series and reinstall it along with origin. This time, I just uninstalled origin and reinstalled. I cant get the game to work! I'm really sad!
