It is unfortunate that you have not kept a proof of purchase, because without it you're basically unable to prove that you're the first owner of the game.
As our games are not transferable or resellable, and this code is already registered to an account that you do not own, besides going back to your retailer for an exchange there's not much you can do.
 I have read that the manual or a photo of the game disk can be accepted as a prove of purchase.

by any chance do you have two orign accounts and the code is on the other account ?
and you'll need to contact CS whom while in the chat advise on how to upload while in chat so they can see whatever it is you upload there and then and can make the decesion there and there in what to do if anything can be done

 No, I only have one.
But does the manual really counts as a prove of purchase? That's what I want to know.- Anonymous12 years agoIt really shouldn't. We'll get this article amended to reflect it better.
