Re: sims 3 steam code not registered on website

@FlowerMe97  Did you ever install the game? If the error is saying the code has already been used then that code has been accepted by the system and can not be reused. Can you install the game through Steam? Do you have an EA account? As I don't play the game through Steam but many people do. You need to link your EA account to Steam account. This means you need the EA app installed also. Once linked the game should launch in Steam and play.

    @roberta591Thanks for you reply 🙂
    First, I do have both platform's account and my Steam account are already linked with the EA app account. And I installed both EA app and Steam as well.

    And yes, I was able to installed the game through Steam. And the code was given to me through Steam system message when I first launched the game. After my first trial, I tried to redeem the code at the official sims 3 website (thesims3.com), but it said that the code was already used.

    As you can see in the file I added, the game, or the game code I bought, wasn't registered at the official site.

    Hey all, if your code is showing as invalid on TheSims3.com, you'll need to reach out to the live support team so they can check your current code and look into getting you a new code to register on the website. Here on the forums, we aren't able to access your account details to look into your code or grant a new one for you.

    Please be sure to gather your proof of purchase for the base game by following the steps here, once you've got the proof of purchase, you can attach these screenshots to your case on the help site by following these steps so the team can grant you a new code. If you have any issues reaching live support on the help site, be sure to let me know!

    @FlowerMe97 Please try changing the country on the site to US or UK, and try a few other topic and issue options, you'll see an email or live chat instead of call.

    @EA_SolairePrior to posting, I tried building a case on their help site but was directed here and saw no option to contact the live support team. I guess I'll have to select a different topic like I can't log in and see if that works. I was afraid if I did that, I'd get in trouble with them lol. Thank you!

    @EA_Solaire I wanted to follow up and say thank you for the detailed instructions on how to reach live support and prepare proof. The second advisor I received managed to get my game registered! I appreciate the work you do on here.

    @EA_Solaire Thank you! To clarify, I didn't receive a new code because they said the game was already on my account. I'm not sure what they did, but they said they "tried to make some changes", and whatever they did worked! Their name was Devendra U.

    @EA_Solaire Update: After an hour of staying registered and being able to access the basic features (ex: memory sharing), the base game showed as unregistered again and barred me from the features.

    The advisor I mentioned said my issue was a bug, so I might just leave it and hope it will accept any purchased DLCs in the future.
