@glitterglich That is telling you that the operating system is denying you access to that memory location. Some people claimed that adding TS3 and installed packs to the DEP table solved this issue SOME of the time. You can find where DEP is in Windows 10 at:
- control panel
- system
- advanced system settings
- advanced
- performance
- data execution prevention
- turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select
you have to manually add the executables manually with the add button.
the base game is TS3W.exe and may be located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin if installed with disc or look under c:\program files (x86)\Origin games\the sims 3\game\bin if installed from Origin OR you may have to look where you installed the game to an alternate location.
I have never had to use DEP. IMO DEP only masks the issue by letting the code crash and recover and continue executing.
It wouldn't hurt to try.
