@Wolfbear123 If you mean selecting one processor core in the Task Manager, it sounds like you have the Alder Lake issue. With the Task Manager workaround, you need to reenable all CPU cores after the game starts to load in order to avoid this performance issue. The core limit only needs to be in place for 5-10 seconds after launch, if that, so undoing the setting at the Main Menu is fine.
If you'd prefer, you can use the Alder Lake patch instead, which fixes the issue and removes the need for any other workaround:
Keep in mind that repairing Sims 3 or uninstalling and reinstalling it would undo the effect of the patch, so you'd need to reapply it. The same is true if the EA App repairs or updates it; this wouldn't be a real update, but it could still revert the game to its default state.
