Re: Sims 3 Won't Recognize Saves & Custom Content

Do you still have your saves in your doc folder: documents\electronicarts\thesims3\ ?

If so, it might be that the game is using a different folder than you think it does. Best thing to do is start the game, create a new save game and give it a very unique name. Then search your computer for that save game name. This will tell you which folder the game uses.

Then move your old files over to that one and you should have all your content back.

OMG! Thank you so much it worked! The update must have made another Sims 3 file because I had 2. The active one was in Windows/Users/name/Documents/Electronics Arts/The Sims 3. The active one (now dud file) used to be and still is in PC/Documents/EA/The Sims 3. Thanks again! :eahigh_file: 🙂
