@onlysims29  No, there probably won't be any difference if you buy an EA Play subscription.  The same rules apply there as when you own a game outright.

Technically, it's against EA's terms of service to share accounts.  But you may be able to get around the issue by setting the EA App to run in offline mode on one of the computers.  You may also need to avoid signing into the Sims 3 launcher, which is totally unnecessary anyway, or the Main Menu, which only enables a few online features and badges, but I haven't tested this.
