@caspuf No, this doesn't work for Sims 3. For any content you want to play in Steam, you'll need to buy it through Steam.

Huh that's odd, with the Sims 4 if you buy the game in Steam, your Origin-bought packs will also work. When you buy Sims 4 in Steam you're required to link your Steam account to an Origin account, Steam will then recognize the packs you own in Origin and allow them to load when you launch from Steam. I figured it might be similar with Sims 3 but i guess not.
