If you are receiveidng an error message when trying to register your games, it would be helpful to know which one it is exactly.
From your description, I assume that you might have been able to register the game when you first tried, but now after formatting your computer and downloading the Origin client again, you are not logging into the same Origin account.
If that could be the case, and as you have your keys I would suggest that you contact an EA Game Advisor, so they can help you in recovering the account you used to register the game originally: https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new
