Sims 3 towns will not load

I have tryed to play my sims 3 and it will only go as far as that main menu when I try to load a town to play is says " A serious Error has occurred while loading it is strongly recommned that you restart the application" and when i did restart and went back to the game it said the sme thing i even deleted and uninstalled everything and the game still did not work. I do not have mods and i donot know what else to do
