University Life Bug thread

Couldn't see my particular issues listed among the many, if they have and I missed it, I apologise in advance.
So, to the questions:
1. Are you using any Custom Content or mods ?
No.
2. If you are using mods, are you using any of the 'big ones' like Awesome Mod or Twallan’s mods?
No.
3. If you're not using mod, did you never use them or did you take them out for the EP (as you are supposed to do)?
Removed them before patching.
4. Did you update the mods you put back with a compatible version?
Yes. I then removed them again but problem persisted/got worse.
5. Do you have University Life or just the Patch?
Patch so far, vaguely hoping the full game might help.....Let you know in an hour or two.
6. Which Patch Level are you at?
1.50
7. Did you start a new game or are you playing an existing ones?
New games.....I know better than to expose my saves to unprotected (by Twallan) EA products. Ask me how I know.
8. Did you transfer an existing Sim over or are they new/Pre-Made?
All of the above, including default sims from the bin.
9. What town are you currently playing ? EA or Custom?
Aurora Skies.....Absolutely brand new pristine install.
10. What is your Operating System (Mac, XP, Vista, Win 7)?
Win.7
11. Do you have the download or DVD Version of the game?
Origin d/l.
Expansion Packs:
All.
Stuff Packs:
All except, Katy Perry & Diesel
And the problems:
1 - At first nothing seemed wrong, game loads fine plays fine, saves fine.....But then when I attempt to load another save or even the same save it just doesn't happen. Normally the progress bar is slow at first then promptly proceeds to the right in fast jerky steps, but now it is smooth and steady but gets slower & slower as it proceeds to the right, eventually just grinding to a halt.
2 - Any sim I edited could not be saved (even to the bin) the save process began but never ended, much like the load described above.
I've resorted to returning the game to it's default settings pending the release of UL.....I really don't know if I can face the hassle of restoring it all again.
Feeling thoroughly ripped off.
Pertinent (I hope) dxdiag Info in next post (serious snippage).
