No mods, fully updated game.
I tried to play the 'Aliens Took My Parents' scenario in an existing household. The requirements for the scenario are 1+ adult sim, 1 teenage sim and 1 child sim, which is all good for my household. I clicked 'Play scenario', and it gave me options to play in a new household in an existing save, play in an existing household, or play a new household in a new save. I clicked Existing Household and was able to click my household to play in it — fine so far. As soon as I went in to play my household with the new scenario though, I got a pop-up message that said: 'The game failed to load. Error Code: 121:80eae277:a1097627. It is recommended that you relaunch the game.' So I exited, went back into the game, tried again about three times, exact same thing. Then I tried to see if I could play the scenario in a new household in the save, yes, all good. I then deleted that household, placed the household in Newcrest and tried to play it using Existing Household, to see if it was a problem with trying to play in an existing household. Again, totally fine. I then moved my teenage sim out of the household and into another household with an adult and a child to see if that worked. Error code 121 again. I'm really confused as to what could be causing the problem.
I've got the same issue. Tried with and without mods. Funnily, I've already done No Skills, No Problem and Proud Parent scenarios on this same household (it was created for the former and then I ran Proud Parent for it as existing). I also tried relaunching and restarting the game, I also created 3 backup saves and played each for a few in-game days in case it was some sort of in-game circumstance, but no luck with any of them.
Upon loading, the game does remove all funds and take the adult in the household into the "Abducted by Aliens!" rabbithole (and drop the child's grades?) as I imagine the scenario requires, but the actual scenario pop-up and goals don't show up.
Interestingly, the error does not create a LastException file in my game. Same code as Xeresfemia, except for the last string.
