I just tried this and my elder sims still all died at once. I put MCCC back in with the initial settings. If I invite my elders to the active house it doesn't happen, but if not they die within 30 sim minutes.
I also finally updated my game and had this same thing happen. I do not use MCCC nor any mods that adjust aging or lifespan. I looked at my households from manage worlds and all seemed to be well. However, once I logged into a household to play one of my rotational-play families and got a death call, I went back out to manage worlds and saw the havoc wrought by the elder death wave. Many of those sims had just turned into elders from my recollection. I also noticed a large batch of aging in the rest of my sims (children aging up into teens and adults aging up into elders when I am fairly certain that they were not even close to that point in-game). Granted, I do loosely (not via active play) manage most of the sims in my game (currently at around 470 in my households) so my save file is large and groups of sims do tend to age at the same time. But this was quite drastic and noticeable when combined with the mass elder die-off.

Some quick research I am doing seems to suggest that this is a bug that has occurred before and might be linked to long lifespans and auto-aging? In response to some of the suggestions I saw on those posts, I have never changed lifespans in this save from long lifespan. I have also never had MCCC.
I'm gonna attach some links to threads I found.
Edit: After a little further testing, it appears that it is only the most current version of my save file is affected. I have another version of this save file saved just two in-game hours earlier but from another household, as I was switching between households. In that version of the save, even if fast-forwarded to the same time as the most recent version, the weird age up thing DOES NOT happen. I have loaded both the current version and the older version of the save without mods and with mods but the age up problem still happens either way in the current save.
In the current save, turning off auto-aging before unpausing the game halted the death wave. However, once aging was reactivated, the death wave still occurred.
Honestly, I will probably just play with my older save and redo all the changes I had made between saves, but it would be nice if there was a solution to this issue. I can provide both save versions if that would help.
- crinrict9 months agoHero+@CdrPhoenix Could you provide the two save games before it happened to you ?
Upload them somewhere and DM me the link.
Thanks.- CdrPhoenix9 months agoSeasoned Novice@crinrict I have sent them your way, both the save where the death wave occurs within moments of playing a household and the most recent previous save before that where the death wave does not occur.
