I loaded my game after the recent update and my Sim aged up automatically as soon as the game loaded. He was not at the point of aging up yet. I had the lifespan set to Long so I exited the game without saving and when I opened it again, I switched to Normal lifespan because that was the workaround last time. My Sim aged up even with the lifespan set to Normal.
