@MadameNordica   Hi!  I just saw your post.  I agree with you.  There have been numerous times that my sims were on a date and I wanted them to move in right then.   It's kind of annoying but typically the option comes up right after the date ends, so it hasn't been earth-shattering.  I don't know for sure but it could be by design for an ongoing event?  Perhaps it would cause some game conflict with having a "guest" NPC all of a sudden becoming part of the household?   As soon as I have the chance, I'm going to test it with other social events.  I'm curious if this happens at a party too and not limited to dates.

@EA_Solaire   Thanks so much for taking a look at this issue!  Do you want saves where the "move in" interaction doesn't show on dates or other social events?  Or only saves in which the interaction never shows at all?

  • I had this problem, and I think I found a solution.

There was no option in friendly, but also no option in 'relationships' tab in the new menu system.  I could have added him via cheats, but I wanted the choice to be there rather than forcing it, so I did some prep.  I realised that the sim in question was not in the households tab, and so I had another sim add him to the family via the cheat (shift left click > add to family) gave him some money (ctrl shift c  > testingcheats true > money 30000) and moved him out to his own little house.  When I went back to the original sim, and checked on him again, the option was there in 'relationships' tab of the new menu.

So it seems like the option to ask a sim to move into your household might require them to already BE IN a household.
