When I enter build mode everything stops working after a few minutes. Objects disappear as soon as they’re placed or can’t be placed at all. No build tools will work. The game fails to save as well.
I’ve tried clearing the cache in my files and in EA. I’ve completely uninstalled the game and reinstalled it as well as the EA app.
I don’t use mods but I’ve even tried moving files to the desktop to fix the issue. I don’t know what else to do to repair it.
I purchased the game and all expansions/kits through steam and I have verified the integrity of the game files there.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
Update: I just installed it on a different computer and it’s still having the same issues 😩
I did a fresh start. Which worked for about 20 minutes and then started having issues.
No error code, it would just stop working. Like, the build tools would make noises when you tried to use them or place objects but it wouldn’t do anything. When I tried to save it would just bring up the saving screen and stay like that until I force stopped the game using task manager. I reached out to EA and they suggested all the things I’d already tried and said they’d have their team look into it to see if there were any bugs/issues on their end. Now, on my “fresh start” version, it will load the game but crash while trying to load a new game or resume play.
I’ve added sims as an exception but I’ll try adding the EA app!
