[ARCHIVED] Can't make changes to build

This seems to have started after the update that I received yesterday. My current game version is 1.104.58.1230. 

Yesterday was working on a house that I had downloaded from the gallery. Everything was working fine until suddenly it wasn't. I could no longer move walls or items. They would snap back to their original position. When I couldn't move an item, I could copy it, put the copy in a new location, and then delete the original with my delete key. Then that stopped working. Then I was able to still delete items with the hammer a couple of times before that stopped working. 

The house was occupied, so I evicted the family and went back to try to work on the house. Everything worked. So I finished my changes, moved the family back into the house, and had no more problems. When I quit, I repaired the game - just in case. 

This morning, I went to make some modifications on a wedding venue in Tartosa (one that comes with the pack, not from the gallery). Same problem as yesterday. I would make changes for a while and then I couldn't. 

I'm on a MacBook Pro with an M1 chip. 16gb RAM, running MacOS 14.2.1.  I have all the expansion packs and most of the other packs. No mods or CC.

Does anyone have any idea why this problem keeps happening?

    @sparilis I merged your post with the bug report but I believe this is a sign of the save game starting to corrupt.

    Do you a have a backup from before you downloaded that gallery lot ?

      @crinrict I had the same problem with a Maxis lot. Do you think the gallery lot was the cause?

        @sparilis It's possible. Before or after you downloaded that other lot ? So did it spread after you downloaded that lot or did it happen before ?

        There's currently lots of issues with gallery lots so it's possible that corrupted your save, showing symptoms in other lots.
