I had this problem as well! I finally found a solution. Although I had removed all my mods from the folder, I had to disable mods in-game, restart, open up a recent game, and then enable mods again before restarting once more. Everything works now and I recovered my old builds from a back-up. I'm using all the same mods as previously without any problems.
