What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cats and dogs, Cottage living, werewolves, wedding stuff, tiny living, toddler stuff, Spa, snowy escape, Realm of magic, seasons, pastel pop kit, parenthood, paranormal, nifty knitting, Movie hangout, courtyard oasis, modern luxe, laundry day, Jungle adventure, island living, holiday celebration, get together, get to work, get famous, dream home decorator, discover university, city living, bust the dust, book nook and backyard stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I don't know - maybe try going to build mode?
What happens when the bug occurs? Build mode functions stop working, houses I built are disappearing, the save page will stay on indefinitely. Once it happens I can't make it stop, and it happens every time I log in. If I leave it for a few days sometimes it fixes itself
What do you expect to see? Build mode should always be working and my lots should be saving.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.

I have been having a recurring issue with the Sims 4 for PC and it is driving me nuts. 

To start, I don't use mods or CC because I can't be bothered with the upkeep. I occasionally download from the gallery but that's it. I don't even know how to raise this as an issue. 

When I go into build mode I can do one or two actions but then it stops working. I can't delete objects, build or move objects. When I try to go back into live mode it spends ages loading. I will try to save and leave but then it stays on the saving/loading screen indefinitely. 

I have tried building new lots but when I leave it disappears. 

This has been going on, on and off for weeks. I have tried some of the fixes online but no one seems to have the exact same issue (that I can see). And some of the instructions confuse me because I am not very technical so I don't understand some of the acronyms. It would be really helpful if someone could explain in really simple terms how I can fix this. So far I have tried: 

- repairing the game in EA 

- Deleting a cache 

- Deleting a scratch file from the save folder

These sometimes fix it for a bit, but it eventually comes back which is making me think it's something I am doing! I really appreciate any help.
