I transferred kittens from 1 household to another and they are not lecturable!! Even when fighting.
Also I noticed that with kittens that have been bred in game are not able to become "companions" with sims even with a high relationship. Also when they became adults, they could not be encouraged to mate.
I have the same. I wanted to mate my dog with a dog who does not live in my household. That did not work. So I took the other dog in my household via "manage worlds". And I could not train or lecture her. I also could not tell her to "be nice" . All this worked only with the dog I had from the beginning.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play a household with cat. When your cat jump on a counter, click a pet.
What happens when the bug occurs?There is no "Lecture not to jump on a counter" dialogue option.
Another pet had that dialogue option(and I used that), but this one don't have such option.
What do you expect to see?Show "Lecture" dialogue option if the cat is standing on a counter.
Pet trait:Affection, clever, frisky. Siamse.
Sim trait: completed "friend of the animals" aspiration
Relationship level: Good friend
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

Can't we train a cat not to jump on a dinner table? Guest are becoming angry when my cat kicked a salad bowl off the table and ruined guest's dress. Joke of course, but I don''t like current behavior.
are you still loosing your relationship ? If so, than that's still the issue for you. I do have that option.
Does anyone know any workarounds or fixes for this yet? I tried the give the pet up for adoption and re adopt but that changes the traits because it seems to generate a new version of that pet and all your sims get upset for losing their pet. I added Mayor Whiskers through household merge and he's in my household but i'm not able to train or command him as he's not registering properly as my pet.
