- crinrict2 years agoHero+@Arthur Gibraltar Did you try turning on fame ?
- 2 years ago@crinrict yes, I did, I followed your workaround. 🙂 But even with fame On, the veterinarians didn't show up. I tried turning it on, saving and closing the game and deleting localthumbcache, and changing to another household and changing to the household with the cat again. I have the save file that has the bug. But I temporarily "fixed" in another save file doing the following: as it was an owned Vet Clinic, I switched to the owner, opened the Vet Clinic and changed control to the neighbour with the cat. That way the vets didn't disappear.
- crinrict2 years agoHero+@Arthur Gibraltar Would you mind sending me the save ?
- simsplayer8182 years agoHero@Arthur Gibraltar You should (hopefully) be able to buy wellness treats for sick pets from the vending machines if vets aren't turning up to treat them 😿.
Fingers crossed we get this fixed soon.- 2 years ago@simsplayer818 thanks, I forgot about those! If the vets disappear again, I'll keep using the treats. :D

@Arthur Gibraltar I took a quick look at your save and can duplicate the issue but only if the vet is owned by another family. They span fine if it's an unowned clinic.
I merged this with the retail thread for now but I still need to test retail.
Vet is unrelated to fame as it occurs with the pack disabled.More testing later.Retail and the vet clinic seem to behave the same way why restaurants only see to have the GF bug.
1. Running your own business --> Works
2. Visiting as non-owner but owned by another Sim --> No employees and hence no interactions in retail. In the vet clinic you can still sign in but you'll wait forever
3. Visiting as non-owner and no one owns business --> NPCs span fine and you buy stuff
Guessing it's the same issue for both.
- 2 years ago@crinrict thank you very much! Yes, the problem also happens in my owned retails, sorry I didn't notice it before. I could only use the vet clinic by selling the business or quickly switching to the owner's household, opening the vet clinic, and then switching back to the client that was in the vet clinic. Although it's not a workaround because it's not a "stable" solution, as the game may despawn the npcs during the household switching.

@crinrictThis is happening to me with retail stores but unowned ones that I have sold (I buy them to mark stuff for sale then sell them) I don’t tend to own them as I don’t like managing them. But now it seems like I have to own them to get them to work. If no one owns them no one turns up except the sim I’m visiting with and I can’t buy anything. My unowned vet store is fine.
my fame is always on so I don’t think it’s connected to that.
Edit - also happens with owned ones. So retail
units are now completely useless to me as I can’t sent anything for sale and if I do I can’t go and buy anything.
- crinrict2 years agoHero+@Idaliarats For me they work fine if no one owned them but I haven't tested if selling makes a difference.
This issue isn't connected to fame.
