Can confirm. All player owned Vet Clinics and Retails Stores are broken. Restaurants are fine. Vet Clinics or Retail Stores without a owner is fine.

Apparently due to the addition of Residential rental, they changed how a business operate upon player visit, so the businesses no longer open automatically if owned by world Sims. Restaurants are fine since it defined how NPCs show up. 

I rolled out a small fix for this but this does not touch any scripts. They still need to fix it.

@konansock If you uploaded the fix somewhere, you're welcome to link it. They changed the rules.

As long as the site doesn't include 18+ content, it's fine.

        I tried playing as my retail owner, and I opened the store before returning to my current played household. Traveled to the store, and wouldn't you know it, the owner is there and I can now buy stuff! 🙂

        Still miss it opening automagically, however. Haven't tried any other workarounds in this thread yet (need restaurants to work, lol), but thank you everyone for your suggestions!

        UPDATE: owner left shortly after so I'm not sure what happened.

      @konansock Is it also why when I visit a store owned by another sim in my save, I can't purchase anything?

      I definitely see there is no one around, but you can't even purchase things... There is always a catch in this game, I would be discourage if I worked for EA. I wish I was good a programming, because I would passionately try to fix everything before them just for my own sake and other players...
