I have had difficulties to get chickens eat the animal treats too (the ones that are in a little pouch in sim's inventory and came with CoL and you can learn to make them). I don't want the treats to be cleaned up automatically, but chickens to eat them.

    @crinrict  think I found the culprit, I was watching my chickens while in a gathering, the club members feed the chickens causing the pile to keep growing bigger and bigger, the Care for Pets activity is enabled on the club.
