I got most of the way through the second week's event, but when I went to "document the research" on the computer, the action was canceled midway and now it doesn't show up in the interactions menu. No matter what I do, it won't come back. I can't even complete the event in another save because it just brings me back to the same step in the event and I can't ask about celebrations or do anything else to trigger the "document the research" interaction to return. edit: My game is unmodded and I cleared the cache. @EA_Cade I updated the post.@crinrict I've tried other households and it still wasn't showing up.

@thatsnotsweg Could you try deleting the following file then: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\accountDataDB.package.It will be recreated.

@thatsnotsweg try adding another sim to your household and using that new sim for this action. My sim, that started this, does not have this option on the computer anymore, but her husband does. It's a workaround that may work in your case too.

@thatsnotsweg In case it helps, I had this same problem. Tried multiple sims and eventually switched to a different, unplayed household. The interaction suddenly appeared with the new sims

@thatsnotsweg try adding another sim to your household and using that new sim for this action. My sim, that started this, does not have this option on the computer anymore, but her husband does. It's a workaround that may work in your case too.

Please note my game IS modded, so this solution may not work for you, but this just happened to me and I solved it by saving before I left the household I was playing the event in, and switching to a different active household in the same save. When I rotated to the second household, the final task 'document the research' was available again on their household computer. When I sat her down to complete the task, it actually cycled through and didn't cancel, so I was able to get all the quest points and rewards for this week.

I was able to get passed this step by quitting and upon loading the save I was in I clicked on the Pancakes house and loaded their household (they are not a household I have played in this save). I had to talk to the people about traditions, make the food, and use the computer about the research. I saved, then went to manage worlds. I loaded up my main sims and got a pop up from Jasmine titled A Sweet Memory.
I am on PS4.

Deleting the file worked for me. I had to redo the week, but that's not a big deal. Thank you!

I suspect that I waited too long between tasks, but the document interaction disappeared form the household I played with, was available when I loaded into another household
