@SqueamishNerdI just managed to make a fix for it. I'll come back and provide a link as soon as I get it uploaded somewhere. Probably won't be for another day or two though.

I have now created a fix for this issue for players on PC and Mac. You can download it at MTS here> https://modthesims.info/d/686552

If and when EA get to fixing this themselves, simply remove the package from your mods folder.
