I've tried going to different lots, I've tried restarting the game, and I've tried resetting my sim. The menu appears but when my sim goes to leave the lot she sort of glitches and doesn't leave. I do have CC although all of it is cosmetic (skins, hair, objects ect). I do have the newest expansion installed (Eco Living) so I'm not certain if it's the CC or my game.

Hi @OutaMana - Could you try a repair of your game, to see if that fixes the issue? Exit The Sims 4 completely, then right-click the TS4 icon in Origin and choose "Repair". Let it run through the base game and any packs you have installed. Then check to see if you still have the issue.
If this doesn't help, some of the cc may be incompatible. Try resetting your files without a reinstall, following the directions here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/READ-FIRST-Troubleshooting-your-Game/m-p/3621199#Resetting

I'm having the same problem. I have never had CC installed. I tried repairing my game but my sim still won't take the law exam. The only new thing I've done is install the Eco expansion, which leads me to believe it's some kind of bug.
my sim is level 4 of the law career and also cannot take the law exam. She disappears off the lot for about 1 second and then reappears straight away.
Hi @thisisarealpainx - do you have any lastException.txt files happening with this? You can find it in your TS4 documents folder; \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4

@BlackjackWidow no I didn't get any last exceptions with it. But I did realise that the 'pass lawyers exam' task did tick off my sim's job tasks so I guess the game recognised it even though my sim was only gone for a spilt second.
