Zero have a mod for this bug just google " Sims 4 Zero EL – community Annoyances " (-> Maker Freelancer Dramanode) You don’t need a Patreon account to download it. I can confirm that this mod still works.

And under All – Various Fixes you can get the bug fix for Interior Decorator Drama node

@daikoyu Thank you so much! I actually just added the mod to my game. Hopefully in the meantime, the devs are still aware of this issue and actually patch it out.
