[ARCHIVED] Exchange Vows Grayed Out on wedding arch

Experienced this too now with 2 different weddings held several weeks in game time apart. Wedding events planned on wedding venue lot (BG and dont own MWS). Arch shows "get married.. " greyed out. And it was the same when both just came to the venue and clicked on the arch and "plan wedding event" is greyed with the same missing partner message. I will add that the fiances were in separate unplayed households. I've never tried to test it with fiances being in the same house before getting married though. I see it's a 3 year old bug but I thought I'd me too anyway.

I am also now having this issue. The exchange vows is greyed out saying finance is not on the lot (they were both there and standing next to the arch).

I thought it was cause one was a teen so I aged them up. Nope. Removed one of the sims from family and then it wasn't greyed out anymore, but they "fiance" kept trying to leave the lot and the exchange vows interaction wasn't popping up for the one left in the household, despite being clicked.

I then used the control sim mod to control the non-household fiance and all the options were greyed out for him even though when he was in the household, the only one not showing was the exchange vows.

I have a lot of mods but prior to the new patch, I have never had that issue.

At least the sims sit in their seats now (mostly) 😅

Since wedding stories doesn't work, trying to marry the sims with the old way and now that doesn't work either. Great...

@SimmerCarl92 Please move your mods folder to the desktop, delete Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > localthumbcache, repair your game and then try again on a backup of your save to see of you can duplicate the issue on a game with no mods.

All reports in the bug forum need to be on vanilla games. If you not remove them you risk that issues aren't looked into.

I'm having the exact same issue! prior to this patch, weddings mostly worked for me but now I can't even make them exchange vows because it keeps saying the fiance isn't around 

I'm having the exact same issue... exchanging vows is grayed out. I can do everything else except the vows.. So frustrating. Tried everything but nothing seems to work.

Note: I DO NOT use mods!

I'm having same issues and don't use mods (and have no interest in deleting folders to try to troubleshoot). Until this gets fixed you can still click on the fiance and exchange vows during the ceremony if clicking on the wedding arch doesn't work to exchange vows.

I have MWS installed. I'm not aware of being able to plan weddings without MWS. It's been many years since I've only had the base game so I don't remember what features it had on its own.
