Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure.... try putting a fireplace on the lot. It seems to have something to do with fireplaces.
What happens when the bug occurs? A notification appears saying that there is a fire on the lot. Yet no fire exists. As a result I cannot save my game and lose progress.
What do you expect to see? A fire! If the game says there's a fire I expect there to be a fire.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes

Sometimes (I can't figure out the exact trigger but I think it has something to do with fireplaces) I will get a notification that a fire has started on the lot. Yet, there is no fire. As a result I cannot put out the fire (it doesn't exist). I cannot save during a "fire" so I have to just close and lose progress.
I had this happen. So what happen is Nancy landgrab came to my lot and to my back deck that has a radio she staring dancing and looked at the radio and saw nothing was playing i clicked on her I saw a button with no words in it I though hit was a bug and exited out the game and went back in and I got the fire notification but there was no fire I looked for the fire and didn't see one a second later my sims are tense and one of my sims saw the fire I click on her and look for the fire and I don't see one then my fire alarm goes off and the fire burns my couch and the firefighters comes but I sprinkler system and it put out the fire I was in shock and goggled and found post of it. Really weird why this happened I think is a bug I'm glad the sims saw it and didn't die .
