Tenant Vacated and I tried to rent out the the house but I can't, as it keep saying the house is still being occupied by the tenant so I press the evicted button but no use, then I go change the house and put it under my home unit but the bug house is still saying it is occupied, then I go to the map and make the whole house to be shared but it still says it is occupied, then I go sell the residential then I try to change everything to shared and trying to delete the rented unit but it is showed occupied, then I let my sim move household and then buy back the residential building but it still occupied even though I have already evicted everyone, I try to delete the wall even if the are is shared the wall still shows at the house is being occupied by tenant. I tried to save the lot and wanted to bulldoze but still can't. I saved the lot and the characters and try on a new game, and I wanted to place the lot at the same place it shows unavailable, so I tried to put it at different places put it still show unavailable. I have tried with mod and non-mod but it still give the same result like the house is still being occupied.

Got the same problem. It seems like when we divide a lot into apartments, for some reason the first apartment has a "home" checkbox, although no one lives in the house, and that apartment is automatically designated as the owner's apartment. But there is in fact no owner, we can buy and sell this lot.
Here's what I did to fix this in my game: I assigned all the rooms to one apartment, made the lot residential, destroyed it completely, placed a random Sim on this empty lot, put my house from the library before dividing it into apartments, made it an apartment, divided it again for apartments and this random Sim, who is also the owner, now lives in one of the apartments. For now it goes smoothly, but I'll keep the old save file to rollback everything if it happens again.- 2 years ago@Rialike I did the same thing as you, but even if I assign all the room to one apartment is this shows that the lot is occupied and can't even be destroyed even when I go to the world map to edit it, and I can't even put sims to the lot also...

I had the same after I tried to buy this rental lot with another sim and even after he sold it I still couldn't do anything. That time I loaded earlier save which was before that sim bought a lot and then did what I described earlier
