Sims 4: For Rent.
I really wanted to try this pack so I bought it and the daily rent never is paid by tenants. I wondered how they were supposed to make money if the daily pay wasn't coming in and I thought perhaps it would at the end of the lease, but it didn't. They never paid, they kept revolting even though everything was up to date/maintenance-wise so I'm not sure how this is supposed to work. I don't have any cc and when I looked at how to return it, it appears you cannot return expansion packs. Is this a bug? Did I just waste $40???
Please help!

I'm also having the same problem and plus the Lifestyle menu does not open at all after the recent update.

I've also been having this issue, have been looking everywhere to find a solution as I thought maybe I was doing it wrong or I would have to manually collect rent but haven't seen anywhere posting about it. Someone on tiktok claims that tenants pay after the lease period is over (I haven't reached that point yet) but find it weird the UI would say "Daily Rent" if it's paid at the end of the lease period

I don't think they're supposed to pay at the end of the lease. I've had my tenants complete 4 leases, 110 simoleons a day, and I got paid once on the third day of the second lease. Just for one day. Combined with property not showing up (people have mentioned not to buy property through the owned businesses model, but that's the opposite for me: it doesn't work when I buy it through the phone) and no longer being able to use the triggers on the Xbox controllers in the sims (they work fine in other games, in Sims they're used for fast forwarding and undo/redo in build/buy), this expansion is a waste of money and it just ruined my game. I'm used to buggy expansions by now, but literally nothing works in this one. Not a single work around, and being on console.... No way to use mods if the modders fix it. Honestly i've gottem used to being disappointed when it comes to the Sims, but this is absolutely ridiculous.

I found that when a tenant moves into a rental unit, it should be done via their phone in live mode and not via the bottom right side world map UI.
I had a Landlord set up a lot with 3 units, and when checking misc popups the rent showed correctly. However, when I tried to move in a tenant from world map view, by clicking that sim's lot and use the bottom/right side UI to Move household, the popup said the rent was §0. In all other popups the rent is correct, only from world map when household is not already the active household, the rent shows as §0. When entering that sim's lot, and then move via his phone, the daily rent shows up correctly.
So, I suspect those not getting paid rent might have had the tenant move in from world map without being the active household? Seems like the team just forgot one of the ways a household can switch lots, maybe the rent saves as §0 for the household even if the lot info still says the rent is so and so.
I did not try to move a household into a rental unit from the households management tool (top/right side UI). If only moving via the phone is safe, then the household must first be placed on a temporary lot, just to get access to live mode. Maybe those early access video creators moved their tenants in via the map rather than via the phone, too?

my problem is the 4 rentals I have from an apartment building, I'm supposed to get about 3400 out of daily. I ended up getting almost 20000? Weird.
