I've used it a few times. A couple of days after researching your sim could receive a call from a relative saying they're their cousin. The relative resembles the sim a lot, and iirc they ask to stay over for a few days starting a stay over event.
@LadyAofPineapple I haven't had anything happen from this either. I thought it was just to raise the fun meter, like Browse Web. But I'll try it again. It sounds like it's a really cool thing when it works.
@Uigenna I don't think you do, I used interaction while my sims lived in 1 bedroom starter homes and had no spare bed.
I checked in game, they do not appear on the family tree. Clicking on their profile through the relationship tab it does say Cousin however @siirysiir .
