[ARCHIVED] [GT] No option to 'Dance' when clicking on DJ booth at the nightclub

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Take your Sim to a nightclub with a DJ Booth, whilst the DJ is playing click on the booth, the option to 'Dance' has disappeared, the option to 'Watch' is still there.
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing, if you want to dance you have to click the floor which means you can no longer complete the wish to dance to stereo music at the club.
What do you expect to see? The option to 'Dance' to still be available when I click the DJ Booth whist the DJ is playing.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. The Lovestruck patch.

I know it's a small thing compared to all the new reports since the last patch, but it's an option I like to use a lot in my game.

    I’m having the same issue. The Dance option has been missing from the DJ Booth since the Lovestruck update, but I could at least make the Sim Watch the DJ and click on the dancefloor to Dance as a workaround, though it wouldn’t satisfy the Dance to Stereo Music whim. But since this latest January update, the option to Dance no longer appears when clicking on ANY dancefloor.

    My Sims can still Slow Dance, but the Group Dance and Dance Battle options also no longer appear. When you click on another Sim that is dancing to the DJ, the option to Dance With that Sim does not appear in the social menu. Basically, you can only dance by clicking on a stereo.

    I don’t and have never used mods or CC.

    I'm having this same issue since the most current update.  I was able to dance at DJ booth previously, now the only option I get for dancing is to slow dance with.

    I've removed mods, repaired game, created new Sims 4 folder, and started a new save.  No joy.  Still no option for my sims to dance

    Well, I've made a temporary crutch for this issue by skipping some test sets in "DJBooth_Dance" interaction tuning that are not working as intended. The side effect, however, that the option to "Dance" is almost always available despite the object state, but it's better than nothing. Download HERE

    Some technical info for pro modders: the test sets listed below are DJ booth related, so may be you could find out the root of this issue.

    Object states:

    • Stereo OnOff_On - NOT WORKING
    • Stereo OnOff_CanDance_True - NOT SURE
    • DJBooth_PerformanceType_Radio - NOT WORKING
    • MusicProductionStation_AudioState_Play - WORKING
    • DJBooth_PerformanceType_Gig - WORKING
    • BrokenState_Broken - WORKING
