[ARCHIVED] [GTW] Birth at hospital not possible/No Staff on duty

The mother-to-be went into labour at home, after clicking "give birth at hospital" I checked who should accompany her there. At the hospital I let them check in at front desk, then nothing happened. ...

I had a similar problem. Pregnant male sim. The problem appeared to be that there was no Doctor at the hospital. Waited all day then traveled home using the map. Clicked on sim and chose "Have Baby at Hospital." When we arrived back at the Hspt the second time there was a Doctor waiting at the surgery machine and my sim went directly to have his baby.

This is with a brand new Save folder and a brand new sim in a brand new game created just to give GTW a try out.

Well for me there wasn't a doctor around either so the nurse did it.

Were there no employees for you at all ?

    When my sim arrived, there was a sim at the check in desk who immediately left. Another sim arrived and took that role, but that's when everything seemed to come to a halt. More Patients arrived, but no other employees. I tried using the Sim menu to send my sim home, but the action cancelled. When I used the Map ("M" key) to have him travel home and then sent him back to the hspt, it seemed to start the process where it had broken off during the first visit. Doctor was waiting, other employees were wonderingl around.

      This sounds like a symptom of the No Doctor on Duty bug that has been reported in another thread.

      @makanimah @Yessja Can you confirm if there was staff at the hospital for you ?

        Yes, there were no doctors working during my game either
