[ARCHIVED] [GTW] Birth at hospital not possible/No Staff on duty

The mother-to-be went into labour at home, after clicking "give birth at hospital" I checked who should accompany her there. At the hospital I let them check in at front desk, then nothing happened. ...

When my sim arrived, there was a sim at the check in desk who immediately left. Another sim arrived and took that role, but that's when everything seemed to come to a halt. More Patients arrived, but no other employees. I tried using the Sim menu to send my sim home, but the action cancelled. When I used the Map ("M" key) to have him travel home and then sent him back to the hspt, it seemed to start the process where it had broken off during the first visit. Doctor was waiting, other employees were wonderingl around.

This sounds like a symptom of the No Doctor on Duty bug that has been reported in another thread.

@makanimah @Yessja Can you confirm if there was staff at the hospital for you ?

    Yes, there were no doctors working during my game either

    There was a guy at the reception and a possible junior doctor stood in front of the hospital but no doctors inside. I had a male sim give birth to a "special" child at the hospital today and after a short wait a doctor appeared and everything worked as it was supposed to. So, yes I guess that fits to the other bug you mentioned.

      I am probably late to this... but I had this problem as well. Same thing as everyone else is saying. I went on the phone, everything was locked but travel. I decided to travel, I went to a random park and see if I could send her to the hospital from there and maybe that would work. When clicking her there was no "Have Baby at Hospital" option, but then a notification came up saying that my sim was in labor, join at the hospital. Doing this, she was able to get into the hospital gown and the doctor and nurse were at the hospital able to help her.
